All the ones I've been looking at are 4x4. I'd like to get a white, blue, or black one with cloth interior.

I'd like to put a double din dvd player in the dash, maybe some screens in the headrests, not sure on mids and tweets yet, or amps, but, I'd like to put 6 12 inch Precision Power flat piston woofers in the back in a somewhat custom install.

Thanks. So, I've been looking at Blazers and am starting to tell some differences between the different models. I'm thinking I want a 2000 or something newer. I like the headlights. How hard would it be to convert like a 97 to a 2000? Is it just a grill and headlights? or?

what you've noticed is the '98+ front end (much nicer looking IMO).

as for how hard is it? that all depends upon how skilled you are @ wrenchin'.

you'll need the following from a '98+ truck (p/u or Blazer),
- rad support.
- HL's, grill, & signals.
- all related wiring/plugs for the front of the truck (lights).

while the bumper fits, you can always upgrade to a chrome one for a little extra bling, if you wish.

but seriously, you'd be better off just getting a '98+ truck, 'cause you're gonna find rot once you open it up, and that's just gonna take cash away from your stereo build.

and be sure to start a build thread for your truck, once you pick one up & start wrenchin' on it.

Will do. I'm not sure if I'll do much with it this winter, but, come spring I may start putting together a few things. I may start to stockpile some stuff after I get it, though. I'm pretty excited.

On a side note, this job is going to kill me. But, getting a new Blazer is keeping my motivation going in the right direction.
