Welcome from North Idaho!

I have really enjoyed my 99 LT Auto 4WD. I use it for going to the woods for fishing, hunting, and for towing my small sailboat. Oh and of course the snow!

I thought that as it recently got up to 135k miles that I ought to look around for a replacement SUV but being my frugal self I could not find anything in the 5 to 10 y.o. age bracket that I thought was a reasonable price and could do at least what my Blazer could do. This made it easier to invest in doing the nasty preventative parts replacements such as the remote oil filter lines and the lower intake manifold gasket upgrades.

You might look around the forum for those items that can go bad because of age like those I've mentioned before they go bad catastrophically. Another good and easy preventive fix is to replace the vacuum hoses in the engine compartment that control your front axle engagement and HVAC system. They can rot over time.

Best,

Christine
