Default "new" jersey guy

Don't have one yet but I am looking. I have been reading through here for a few weeks to find out what to look for/avoid in a used Blazer. If anyone has some advice in that department it would be appreciated. That's about it I guess, hope to have some pics of my new ride to post up here soon.
BTW, here is what I am driving now if anyone cares.

Welcome from New Zealand.

Nice car - What is it? Sorry, we don't see those here & yea do care, if only 'cause we're waiting for pic's of your ride to be.

You just qualified your membership by posting A pic, any pic, even if it's not a Blazer/Bravado/Jimmy.

Hay kiwi what do you mean what is it?
It's a Pontiac GTO or as we know them as a Holden Monaro.

Welcome to the forum.

What you seek depends on what you want.
What I want is a 2003 ZR2 with low miles and 265/75r16's with all the trimmings....

but what you want will dictacte what you seek. have a family? go 4 door. want to thrash through some trails go zr2. want to lower it? get a 4wd, torsion bars are your friend. want it old school? get a k5, not quite so old school? get and early 90's (90-3) s series. still want to thrash trails but dont want a tank? get a mid-late 80's K series.....

what are you looking for?

Welcome to the forum from Canada!
As ABN said what are you looking for from your Blazer? There are 3 types: the Xtreme the ZR2 and the standard Blazer. All very different. The Xtreme is lowered and has a body kit (more for show and street). The ZR2 is lifted (good for off roading) and the regular Blazer is just stock but still very capable off road. The possibilities are endless as far as mods go with any of them.
Amazing pic of that GTO by the way. Looks like it's out of a magazine/brochure. Do you do photography?

Welcome from Philadelphia!

So are you replacing the GTO with a Blazer, or are you buying a BLazer for a second vehicle?

First off thanks for the compliments. To answer your question Sisk I have been playing around with photography for a few years now but nothing serious. I am selling the GTO, not really "replacing" it with a Blazer but more trying to save some $ (I am getting close to buying a house).
I should have been more clear on my first post. I was just looking for problem areas common on 2nd gens. Items to look at when I go and check out possible trucks. I would prefer a 2 door but if I can find a nice, clean well maintained 4 door I wouldn't shy away from it. Only thing I know I don't want is an Xtreme. Oh and it has to be 4x4
