Just bought an 89 s10 blazer 2 door and looking to find out some information. It has the 4.3l and is an automatic with overdrive, does anybody know how much this thing can tow? It only has 65k miles on it and is in awesome shape! Will post some pics as soon as I can.

Welcome. Good find on that 89. I'm not sure how much the 1st generation can tow, but I've towed a 21' Carolina Skiff with my 2000 4.3L.

welcome to the forum. I am not sure what 89's can pull but I know my '98 Blazer is rated at 5000lbs. I would never want to tow that much with it unless I put on a transmission cooler and still then I would want a bigger truck.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you!!! I would put its towing capacity at about 3500-4500, one thing to keep in mind though if your going to tow alot with your blaze I would put on a tranni cooler!!!
