I joined the forum today. I have two S-10 Blazers - one 1992 "W" engine code 4x4 2-door and a 1997 LT 4x4 that I purchased new. The 1992 is used as a snow plow only.

I have some immediate questions regarding the 92 engine trouble codes. I'm not sure where to look on the forum for my answers. Help anyone?

Thanks,

Bill

Welcome from Utah.

The tech section has all of the DTCs listed as well as what they mean.

Thanks for the welcomes! Looks like a great forum. We have had a 92 (still have) a 95 LT (sadly, "cash for clunkers" and it was like new but $4500 was too much to pass up for my daughter. A 96 LT that I had for 10 years and sold in November. A 97 LT which I bought new and still use only in the summer. A 99 LS 2-door that my son-in-law has that just moved to Tacoma, WA. All 4X4's.

The rear hatch problem is similar to the one my daughter had on her 95. Apparently the key fob button for the hatch stuck "down" causing the hatch to pop open. The Chevrolet dealer replaced both key fobs with updated GM ones that had the hatch button recessed. Could be the problem if the button is sticking down and is keeping power on the hatch release - possibly causing the fuse to blow. Just an idea, could also be a shorted wire in the hatch?

Thanks again,

Bill
