I am new. I have been looking at this site and gotten a lot of good info from just reading your posts. I have replaced, u-joints, ball joints, front and rear shocks, front bumper and fender, headlight, door hinge pins, rear wheel bearings and seals, cleaned throttle body, replaced distributor cap and rotor and wires and plugs, thermostat and coolant temp sensor. Mine is a 97 Blazer LS 4X4 with 145,000 miles. I bought it from a kid who didn't know about cars for $800 bucks and I put in about $600 in parts so far. All the things I mentioned, I did myself. I am going to try replacing oil cooler lines and check out why the power seats don't work on either side. I joined this site so I can ask questions. Look forward to talking with this group.

Welcome from Winnipeg. Just check out the different headings in here for particular issues, remidies etc etc & I'm sure you'll have a better understanding of the blazer. WTG on that BTW!
Oil cooler lines are fairly straight forward & the power seats I'd look at the fuses 1st. Especially if BOTH are out at the same time that screams something in common, a fuse, relay, wiring etc or just being unplugged under the seat. Maybe he had a wiring issue & unplugged them?!

Thanks man, I'm from MInnesota too. Minneapolis and Wahkon up near MIlle Lacs Lake. Regarding the oil cooler lines, I've been reading about Dorman not being the best but is all that I can find. What is your experience and are there any other manufacturers besides the dealer? I haven't checked the fuses on the seats but will do and move forward from there this weekend. Thanks everyone, glad to be here.
