Hello all I am from NW ohio although i own a jimmy i plan on getting a blazer instead hopefully which are basically the same maybe a couple differences.
I bought this (supposedly 99 jimmy) So i checked vin number nope late 97 early 98 vin traveling 2 hours to get it due to low milage 160 k well took the guys word on it it ran ok shifted fine get it home two days later smoke out of the exhaust checked the dip stick fine had an oil change fine little gummy but it was ok. installed new radio and while having the bezzel off out of curiosity i looked at the speedo and mileage gauge no lights on on mileage so i go little further got in the back of it and noticed that some one pulled the connection not burnt pulled and one of the lights were pulled also so i took a safety pin connected it 299k i was boiled and i mean boiled so i let it go motor had looked changed 2 weeks went to kick it in 4 wheel high it didnt work tried 4 low nothing either ok i can handle a new transfercase well a week after that headgasket and oil comming out the distributer wow so now im stuck with an half way descent yard ornament that i paid 1800 for. So now i am looking for some new friends to help me in my new project that the wife is pissed about. But I am glad i found your site thank you for letting me apart of it.
