Easiest way to tell if it's a Typhoon is a look under the hood. Does it have a turbocharger? If so, it may be a real Typhoon.
Man, you would have gotten a he'll of a deal if you got a Typhoon for a Jimmy price.

you can verify it's a real Typhoon by looking @ your RPO's (in the glove box)

you'll have a "Z79" if it's real.
