I figured I'd introduce myself since I recently found this forum. Well, my name is Chevy, yes I was named after the car. I have been a blazer owner for three years and am currently 18. My blazer has come quite a long way. At 15 my dad showed up with an 89 4x4 blazer he had picked up for 50 bucks. Turned out it had Transmission problems. So, later we found an 88 Jimmy 2wd from a man who worked at the same place as my dad, but this one was for free! Everything was torn up but it came with all the interior parts and some exterior (grill) parts from a 94. The guy was going to convert it to a 94, but ended up just buying a 95. [sm=grin.gif] It did not run, but all it needed was the computer. We proceeded to paint and fix up the blazer, taking parts from both where needed.
When I started the project I started, I started cataloging every day we worked on it. I only made it through four days
All those pictures can be seen here: http://community.webshots.com/user/chev07
I can't find any picture of right after it got painted but I took some today.
It's not exactly what it used to be but still pretty none the less.

I need to get rid of this dirty steering whell cover

You can't see it but that is a really bad looking glovebox because my original broke. Still looking for a nice one.

The grey headliner was horrible, so we got the other one out of the other blazer, which had a red interior. [sm=smiley36.gif]

Right below the headlight got ruined a bit in a fender bender.

At one time this center console was working perfectly until a friend broke it. Is there one in existance that actually opens right?

A neighborhood kid must have shot a BB at my car.

Thanks for the comments , everyone. It's still far from perfect. I sill have a list of things to fix (I'm sure everyone else does too). I broke the fue gauge when replacing the fuel pump last weekend, so I have to drop the tank again.[:'(] My alternator should be going bad soon too, the bearing is loose.

Damned good work, walk proudly.
BTW, sure you weren't named after Chevy Chase from the original Saturday Night Live?
