New member here!

New to the blazer family. Me and my gf bought a 96 Blazer 4x4 4 door for $400 with a bad motor. I plan rebuild the 4.3L Vortec, and fix it up to make a good daily driver out of it. Here are some pics...

Sounds like the motor has a bad rod. Hopefully I can start tearing into it soon to see what's wrong with it.

I'll take delivery of it on Thursday. Plans for it...

-Rebuild, or replace the 4.3L L35 Vortec. Maybe a L31 swap if I can find one cheap.
-Fix rust, and dent in fender.
-New sport mirrors.
-New tube style hitch.
-New tires (LT235/75R15 BFG A/Ts).
-Debadge, and remove stainless steel side trim.
