Hows it going, new to this forum, I have an 82 GMC K5 Jimmy 6.2L Diesel
It has 33x12.50's and some Mickey Thompson wheels, Its sitting stock height right now, but not for much longer, I want a small lift, like 2 inches or so, I dont want to go with any bigger tires, maybe just newer and more aggressive ones. and maybe a spool in the rear. It has working Power windows and locks, The rear glass motor is inop. and I want to switch it to manual roll down eventually. The thing seems to be tough as nails. I took it in a water bog over my hood, and didn't disconnect the air intake tube from the grille and Hydro locked the engine as I was pulling out, I was lucky enough to let off the fuel just before it locked up, so after I pulled the Glow plugs out and cranked it over, and reinstalled, she fired right back up, took it home gave her an oil change and all has been well ever since. It looks like some one had installed the steering box repair kit on it at one time. I installed a manual glow plug switch in the dash made from a drag car exterior ON/OFF switch and battery cables, I had a problem once in the middle of nowhere with the automatic glow plugs, and said to my self, NEVER AGAIN!
Any way, thats about all I guess for now, I look forward to reading and asking plenty of questions as the time passes. and maybe even answer some in the future
