My name is Dustin. Just went out and bought a 4 door 4 wheel drive blazer. ITS A 2000. I dont know what took me so long to get one i love it. I have plans for either a body lift or suspension lift and new rims and tires. Just starting out and am looking forward to reading up on this forum.

I like those rims..I think I've seen similar ones on other rides around here.
As for body vs. suspension lift...I'm still new to the whole idea, but my understanding is that body lifts are generally cheaper, but more involved since you need to take the entire body off the frame. Suspension lifts are more expensive just because of the amount of parts you would need, but they're typically easier to do.
It comes down to how high you want to go too. The most you would get out of the body lift is 2-3", where as if you went suspension lift you could get a super lift and go for 6".
There are more people on here with more knowledge on the subject then me though, and if you head to the Suspension board you'll probably find a lot of discussion about the two..

Welcome!
Body lifts cost a couple hundred bucks, a popular one around here is the Performance Accessories Body Lift. (< Click that link.)Without knowing the year of your truck it's hard to tell a price, but if you have a 98+ it'll run you 192 bucks for 2".
A 2" Suspension lift will probably run you about double and add more stress on parts on your truck, Really you should go with a 6" susp lift if that's the route, that's the most bang for your buck.
I'd say buy the 2" body lift and crank your t bars 1.5" for a total lift of 3.5"

depending on how high you want to go and how much you want to spend. if you have a low budget go with a 2in body lift. They run about 200 bucks and you can install it in a weekend. If you want to go higher than that you can get the 6in. It will run you around 1900. Plus install cost unless you can do it yourself. Will take a week or two to install.

sorry i thought i put the year in my first post. i fixed it. Its a 2000 blazer. and i dont have 1900 so i would say the suspension lift is out of the question....sorry to sound dumb but how do you crank t bars and what exactly are they lol. and do i need gap guards.....the link that was posted sounds great....and low enough to not break the bank....what size tires could i fit on the blazer with a lift like that? i would like to stick with those cragers that i posted if possible. thanks for the help.

With a 2" body lift you can clear 31's, you're stock tires are roughly 29's. I'm not sure, but with a bl and tbar crank you maybe able to clear 32's. Someone who has lifted there truck will be along shortly I'm sure lol.
This thread is an EXCELLENT how to when it comes to the tbars. It's super easy.
