Default new member saying hello.

Hello, I am here to get advice from people who have done it. While I am pretty decent with a wrench i am new to the Blazer, jimmy and s10 vehicles. I have had a 2001 s10 2wd for several years and have never had to do much to it. I recently purchased a 2001 Jimmy with a 4.3 rod knock. It is a 4.3 2wd 2 door. The Jimmy came with a 4.3 and transmission from a totaled identical Jimmy. changed the engine and transmission out and have put about 1200 miles on it so far. It is doing great. Yesterday i bought a really nice 2000 Blazer 4.3 a/t 4wd 4 door for really cheap, 350.00 with new tires. I put the new tires on the Jimmy and old one back on the blazer. The reason is my wife drives the Jimmy and the Blazer isnt running quite right at the moment. That is why i am here. For advice. Im not sure i am in the right category for my questions so if someone will guide me i would really appriciate it. I will post some pictures as soon as i figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Default 2000 4.3 rebuild

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I recently purchased the black 2000 Blazer with hole in radiator and suspected head gaskets blown. I would like to do a rebuild of the entire engine but thinking about just doing the heads up for now. I have rebuilt several small block Chevy engines but never a vortec v6. While i know things are similar i also know there are tricks to every engine. Does anyone know of a post where someone has documented a rebuild or a video that may be available? I can never have too much knowledge. Thanks in advance.
