I am from Winchester, VA. I own a 97 2DR,4WD, manual transmission, blazer with 180,000 miles. It is one its last leg and I am looking to part out what i can very soon and take it to the local scrap yard for weight. It only runs on 5 cylinders, since one cylinder is very low on compression. The throw out bearing is really noisy and needs a whole new clutch. The driver seat is broken and doesnt stay in an upright position. Has to be jump started in order to run because there is something that drains the battery ( bad alternator or electrical problem). 4wd is broken..it makes a horrendous banging noise every rotation of the right front wheel(axle or locking hub)? Too much to warrant fixing myself....it has served it purpose the 10 yrs we have owned it.

Welcome from New York. But try to sell it before you scrap it.

I got tired of telling everyone who called and asked about it, everything that was wrong with it. I put it up for $600 or BO and a lot of people called but by the end of the conversation you could tell they were turned off...i know i can still get the money i am looking for this way and get rid of it much faster too. If i could get an inspection on it, it might be easier to sell, but i know both sets of tires i have would not pass, not to mention any other unforseen problems that might arise when i go to get it looked at...and jumping the car everytime to start it is a PITA and it also cuts off after jumping
