My name is Brent and I live in Michigan. Prior military and combat vet. I am looking to possibly purchase my first Blazer and wanted to come here for a few answers before I set out to get one.

I have two for sale near me, one is a 2002 2dr 4x4, good condition with 72,000 miles for $4,200 obo. The other is a 2000 4dr 4x4, good condition with 89,000 miles for $4,900 obo.

I have a few questions to ask and would greatly appreciate your help:

What types of things should I pay particular attention to when looking at a Blazer before buying it?

How is doing maintenance on a 4.3? Spark plugs, etc? I have some basic mechanic skills i.e. brakes, spark plugs, fuel filter, pcv, air filters, etc on my previous vehicles: Cherokee, Camry, Stealth, Comanche

What was included with the ZR2 package?

As of now, I will use it primarily as a commuter vehicle, but do like hunting/camping which could require some off-road use.
