hey no problem at all. ive spent the last 13 years managing a lube center so i pretty much know every place they can put an oil filter. im glad to see other people that change their own oil. props to you and everyone else that does.

Ya, I hate brining my truck in for oil changes. I like doing it myself because then I know the oil that's going in and that I didn't "forget" to change the filter.

got the oil change done saturday afternoon...it felt like a summer day...i felt like an ***** cause as soon as i go under the front of the blazer to see where the oil filter could be...it says it on the access door " oil filter access"...i started laughing...anywho...got the oil changed, and enjoyed some beer while doing it...also the oil filter that was on it...was on there pretty damn tight...now i know why you guys were talking about using screw drivers...luckily i had one of those oil filter tools, made life a little easier...anywho got the oil change done, and just wanted to give everyone the heads up...thanks

Congrats on a job well done!
For those stubborn oil filters I typically will use one of those strap wrenches when space permits. I've had to use a screw driver on my dad's tractors before.

Nothing really to it, just instead of quart containers of oil, we use 55 gallon drums! Oh and the filters are mostly the size of a large coffee can!
