Picking up my first SUV which happens to be a 1997 Blazer 4 door 4x4. Has 105k miles on the clock and runs great. I've been looking for a daily driver now that I'm looking to get more power out of my Camaro.


How are the towing capabilities with the Blazers? I searched around and saw they are rated at 4500-5000lbs but have also heard from friends that they shouldn't tow more then 3000lbs. Would love to use this to tow my Camaro to the track.

 

Looking through the forum and seeing some good tech here. Can't wait to start ripping into the truck.

Time to read up on suspension and steering components. Pretty sure some if not all of it needs some TLC. Steering is loose (pitman arm possibly?) and I also think I'm having 4x4 issues. I don't know much (nothing) about suv's so I need to find a reliable shop around the Queens area that can check it all out for me. Does anyone happen to know of a good shop?
