New owner, '99 2dr 4x4 three pedal
Hey everyone. My name is Kyle and I just picked up a '99 2dr for winter in WI. It was just a utility choice at first because I got a decent deal on it I think, but now I'm bonding with it. I want to take good care of it and fix a few issues. I plan on staying around here and maybe starting a build thread if I decide to modify it at all. I come from the Mita scene, so I'm new to the truck-ish life, but its been fun so far. My '99 has a super clean interior and a straight and rust free body. The paint is silver, and its not perfect, but it looks pretty good, no major blemishes. I think my truck may be a bit rare. Its a 4.3 with electric 4x4 and a manual transaxle. Its a lot of fun to drive. I changed the squeaky serpentine belt and the nasty air filter and it runs well. It needs exhaust work. The muffler is quite apparently dangling and not attached to the pipe. I'll take a closer look this week. But, everything electronic works, which is nice. The only this questionable is the panel with the drive buttons. They go out and dont work until you tap on it and the light comes back on. If the light isn't on, it wont switch between 2wd and 4wd.
I'll get some pics up later, but its stock. Nice to be hear and cheers to my new brethren. See you around.

Welcome from Alberta, and good luck with the little problems. As for the 4x4 lights going out, try pulling the switch out and checking for a loose connection. If not you should be able to get a new switch from your local junk yard for pretty cheap.
