New from the Southern Tier NY area
Hi. I only just got my 98 Blazer LS last April so have not had much time to do anything "exciting" to it. The truck was abused and traded in so I got it in sore shape. The dealer had a lot fixed on the vehicle though (had just driven it from auction when I inquired about it). It got new tires, 4 disk brakes, e-cable, front steering link, trans dropped for new tcc, serpentine belt tensioner, rear hatch unstuck (rusted lock mechanism), and some other things that allude me at the moment. I myself have done a complete tune-up (#3 plug not that bad, but I stripped the socket for #2 and had to tap it...what a pain that was), and front wheel hubs. I'll be adding a ram intake as soon as it gets here.
When I'm not working on, or playing with, my truck (I call it a truck, not SUV -it's an s10 with a permanent cap and my insurance co calls it a Chevy Truck Blazer on the paperwork anyway), I can be found at work. I'm on a grueling 7 day on - swingshift schedule. Doesn't leave much time to do anything.
I joined because of the high maintenance requirements of the truck and have found the best knowledge on this site. So, thanks to anyone who's posted solutions to repair problems.
