New Texas Driver
Just got my first vehicle (at 15 so i have a year to work on it) and its a 92 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3. bought it all stock with electrical problems and oil leaks everywhere. gotta love craigslist. got the oil leaks fixed after pulling the engine and replacing all gaskets and seals on the lower end. still working out the electrical kinks. Ive put a 3 inch body lift and plan to get some mud tires on it. googled my electrical problems and everytime this forum came up and i would get distracted reading and looking. so i joined. everyone seems realy knowledgeable on here so i figured i could learn a bit.
the two attached photos are of what it looks like now. and all the stuff ive taken off of it. not only am i new to all this. im new to forums too so.. not too sure on how to add in pictures and such. lots to learn

and you'll have plenty of time to get 'er built right (for the first round of mods anyways
), be sure to start a build thread for it. your Blazer looks to be in above average shape for the year.welcome to the show, good luck with your project.
Thanks everyone! and yes its in great condition. there are no dents just a little surface rust where the paint has been chipped. and yesterday as i was powerwashing it i found a soft piece of plastice directly above the rear wells. i was a little upset but its nothing to bad. to start the build thread, where and how shoud i go about that? haha. on a side note anybody got any ideas about bumper lifts? i cant find one for the s10
. also whats the easiest way to get back to a thread that you post? i had to go through and find it on the forum...
on the main page, scroll down one page to the General section, fourth one down is the Builds section.
as for lifting the bumper (to match your body lift), i've just cut the bottom of the bracket out, so it can be slid up the frame rails, and then weld it on (don't for get to add a little reinforcement to it).
i've done them this way to 4 1st gen's, and 3 of the 4 had 3" BL installed.
i noticed that you had a hitch on the truck. if you plan on keeping it with a BL, you can add a steel roll pan to the truck, and leave the rear bumper in the factory location. just be sure to trim the bottom edge of the roll pan to fit around the frame rails. did that on 2 of the 3 trucks that had 3" BL's. one guy said his Dad didn't even notice that that was what done to the back.
as for keeping track of your posting to threads..............@ the top left corner of every page-in the dark grey banner-you'll see the User CP 1st. click on it, and it'll take you to your control panel that keeps track of the threads you're following, as well as any private mssg's that you receive. you an also add personal info (like where you live) here, and add an avatar if you wish.
give your CP a read over, it's pretty much your lifeline to what you've got going on with BF.

thanks soo much old skool,i found this thread this time from my cp
as for the build? ill get right on it. and the bumper lifting, that sounds like it'd be a good idea, i was thinking just cutting the bracket off and welding it 3 inches higher. but i have not seen it with the body lift and the bumper in the factory location. i might be able to leave them where they're at. id like to get some lights up there a long with the brush guard.( i think that's what its called, the metal frame sort of thing around the grill/front end) when i get home ill look at it to make sure i fully understand what you mean. Ive got a lot of plans for this one, i hope ill get them all done
