Hey Hunter, welcome to the site from an Auckland member. There's another guy in the Waikato who is a member - about 5 or 6 kiwi's so far. This site (& the .net site) has great guys with lots of info & help.
Standard requirements are for pics of your truck so post up & tell usabout your ride, intentions etc.

Hi Kiwiblazer, Thanks for the welcome, will post pics tomorrow, gotta pry the mrs away from the truck to get some pics..lol
Already had the front t/bars to pieces to see how they worked. I want to raise it up more without stuffing up the steering geometry, need the clearance for the bush when hunting.already bellied it on a mates farm track..lol. Wasn't the best time to find out the 4 wheel drive didn't work...turned out to be vacuum leak [&:]. Will be replacing all the shocks shortly, along with 2" body lift..

You've probably found lots of info here on lifting. Where are you getting the lift kit?e-bay?

My first excursion off road with my Blazer was at Murawai. I took the sand track to the beach only to find the damn 4x4 did not work. Also turned out to be a vacuum pipe!! Had to be dragged backwards down the track back to hard ground (about 60 metres). Then no one had a pump to re-inflate the tyres. lol. I've notbeen back yet but will sometime.
My son-in-law has an American matewho has a farmnear Whangerei & he goes possum & duckhuntingthere. (He's got a Ford Explorer). They've been wanting me to join them next time.
With gas prices like they are at the moment I've not ventured far out of Auckland but when the summer arrives (if ever) I'll be visiting thesand dunes at Murawai Beach again for sure.

My first excursion off road with my Blazer was at Murawai Beach. I got about 60 metres down the sand track before realizing the 4x4 had stopped working! Had to be draggedout BACKWARDS with lots of spectators. lol Then, back on hard ground no one had a pump to re-inflate my tyres! The idiot who helped had just about run the tyres flat to get some traction. Fun & games.

Hi Kiwiblazer, Sorry i took so long to reply, just got back to the site now, been busy with work an tech,(i hate exams).
Hard luck getting stuck, i was worried about the same thing thats why i waited to go to my mates place, he's got a big 4x4 tractor. Still not to sure my 4wd is workin properly, long way to murapara to test it. will try the farm my daughters on just outa town, should be plenty of mud now..lol. I've got a small 12v comp for pumping up tyres but am looking at a bigger faster one, supercheap have got some, need to find out what they're like, no good buying junk to use in the middle of nowhere... Going to dad's in Kaitaia next week, hopefully i'll get to try the truck out on the sand on 90 mile beach....and catch some fish too.

Hi Hunter. Nice to hear from you again. With this damn wet weather I've not yet taken my truck out. I've only got hi-way tyres so I can only go to the beach to try it out. We'll be going to 90 mile beach come December.
Have a great trip & don't forget the all important pics.
By the way, 'wisper, wisper'check us outon the .net site too. Less problems.
