Default Newbie from NC

New guy here from Monroe, NC. This is my first Blazer and I'm in love. I've owned a Monte Carlo and a GTP and loved them, but I sold the GTP and couldn't pass up on my blazer. It's a 1999 4X4 with 108k miles. I'm very familiar with 4.3's but not Blazers, So anything I should know off the bat, point me in the right direction!

Here's a few pics, I just bought clear corners and tinted the tails. (I've had it about 3 weeks.) I'm thinking about painting the tan part black. She's already been in the mud a little (the first night I got her.) Any suggestions as to the apperance? I know it would look good with a 3 inch lift and 33's. haha

Welcome from down over in Newport, NC.

Love the pics. 3inch BL looks good all the time! (I just put one on my K5)

You should definitely paint that ugly Tan, Black! lol. Black would flow a lot better, and look pretty awesome... of course then you'll have to black your rims out to match lol... and your Bowtie... and if you get paint happy like I do then you'll find other things to paint lol.

Oh and some BLAZERFORUM stickers!!!! There's a thread around here somewhere... just search BlazerForum.com sticker and I'm sure itll bring something up lol.

I HATE the tan. haha. I already had my rims painted black and it looked goofy because nothing else is black. The bowtie is silver already and I painted all the chrome on the factory grill matching dark blue. Do you know if the side moulding is just glued on? or is it glued and held on by pins?

I dunno.... I used to have a stripe along the bottom of mine separating my two colors... and it was glued.

So I assume that yours will be too... Go out there and yank on it! Find out yourself! lol

Did you strip down the chrome before painting it? Cause if not then the paint is gonna start flaking off.

Just checkin..

...I didn't do it when I painted mine Now I get to redo it ! lol

Don't get mad at me if it don't come off right lol. I had to get all the glue stuff off with an orbital when I took mine off.

It came off perfectly. There are 3 random holes in the back bumper now but the doors turned out perfect haha

You could probably just throw a little bit of Bondo over the holes and then find your color paint in a spraycan. That's what was used for the holes from my K5 Blazer emblems... one fell off while mudding and the other was half off... lol
