Welcome bud.

I have a 88 s10 in my backyard that was my first ride. my parents bought new in 88. Handed it down to me. Got so many plans for it as well....

Not sure how much time you really need, but even if you gave it an average of 7 hours a week for the next 12 years, that's over 4,000 hours!

I'm thinking you'll either have it done or have gone broke from trying.

Don't want to do a body swap, then it isn't the same truck! I want to rescue my old ride, not replace it. I'm going to buy a plasma cutter later this year, should make it easier to do the metal work. I'm thinking I might start out just bringing it to my shop and stripping it, see how much rust and junk I have to work with.
