The 'RadioKid' Checks In
Hello forum posters
Good day, my name is RadioKid I live in the state of maryland and I am pround owner of a 1986 chevy S10 pu 2wd I saved it from death.
I ended up dropping a rebuilt 2.5ltr, after 8 years of driving the engine just gave out, I am in the process of dropping in a 350.
I just picked up a 1991 4x4 GMC Jimmy 4.3-ltr, the motor runs great so far the trans shifts fine, and it needs a serious alignment, I am going to fix that myself this week and probably go all over the list of what is inspected, and fix what is needed.
Any suggestions on what else I should do to help the Jimmy pass inspection?
I need to have it inspected sometime less then in a month or two.
Any rate I am new here, I am very familiar to VB software, I own a server host and use VB, I have many hobby's that keep me busy and broke.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my post, maybe soon I will have some photos of my trucks and a siggy/avatar up.
Take care- RK

welcome to the show.
as for what it might need for inspection, are you refering to the safety inspection? or was that for an emissions test? if it's the etest, just be sure to do a complete tune up, and run some premium through it before you go do the test.

The inspection I must go to is the safety inspection.

Welcome. Tag it as an "Historic" that's what I did and no inspections required. But you only get 7k miles a year to drive it. But could buy you some time to rectify any problems. And it's good for two years.
