Default Sorta' new here ...

Hi all;

I'm sorta "new" here. I had been on the forum before asking questions about fixing up my old '89 Blazer. Too much! I finally threw in the towel and posted the ol' girl on "CraigsList".

Now I'm pleased as punch with my new-to-me '03 2WD Blazer Xtreme ... complete with the "Flames" trim package no less. A Flaming Blazer, if you will. My girlfriend calls it a "blazing flamer", but that's nether here nor there.

The Blazer is bone-white in color and the purchase coinsides with "love-bug" season here in Florida. For those not familiar with them ... "During the semi-annual love bug (Plecia nearctica) flights or "seasons", the insects are commonly found spattered on the hoods and windshields of automobiles. The body of the love bug is acidic and can affect the paint on vehicles if not washed off." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_bug

So ... I desperately need a nose bra. Whitney's on-line store offers me a "LeBra" to fit a "Base", "LS" or "ZR5" Blazer. What have I got? What letter/number designation is an Xtreme? I've seen other designations tossed around here including "Zq8", "VXZ" and "V4A" but what applies to my Xtreme? Will one of the LeBra "Base", "LS" or "ZR5" units fit?

Comments from a more knowledgeable forum member would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Ken

Thanks all for the hearty welcomes.

Cliro: you said " the hoods are all the same" ... No doubt they are. But why, then, does "LeBra" offer three different model bras to fit the Blazer? Could it be that while the hoods are indeed the same, something else is different: Air dam? Headlight style? Something else?

I still am not sure which to choose: LeBra "Base", "LS" or "ZR5" units?

Does any one else have an Xtreme on which they have mounted a LeBra? Recommendations?

Best regards,
Ken

Welcome to the fourm. I would get the LS one since that is probably the package you have or very close. The ZR5 is a s10 based 4 door pickup truck.
