Talking Utah new guy!!!

Hey guys/galls! I just bought a 89 blazer!!! WOOT!!! Its going to be my fish'n and beat'n truck!! yeah i couldn't more excited!!! I got is for 700 bucks and all it needed was a fuel pump. Well, needs a paint job too but that can wait tell spring. A little about me i'm a serious weekend mechanic that has built 3 track cars one for 1/4mile and two for auto-cross.

This is my first ever american car and first ever truck and i couldn't be happier to have it sitting next to the other cars in my auto family. It's name is mater i normally don't name my cars but the previous owner had vanity plates "Mater" on it so i have no choice with my girlfriend having seen them and all. Anyhow WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!

Welcome fellow newb. Great find, and perfect vehicle for what you'll use it for. Personally I wouldnt bother with a paint job on a beater. Having paint that's already pretty rough adds a nice element of freedom when it comes time to plow somthing you normally wouldnt.

So how about a little about these 3 track cars?

The track cars..

Well i got my 300zx Twinturbo i've got a pic in my profile, it put down 540RWHP @ 24psi and ran an 11.2 in vegas.

I was part of a team that built a Subaru wrx sti that pushed 650whp @ 32psi and an 400 whp sti for the autocross out here in Utah. I'll find some pics to post in my profile of those.
