Default Well hello there.

Hey everyone, I'm Ryan.

If everything goes right with selling my 65 Corvair (which I love but it's not practical for me anymore...or any fun, really..), I'll be buying a 1984 Chevy K-10 Blazer from a Coworker. (actually to tell you the truth, I think it's a GMC...but I don't know what the correct name for the GMC version is...)

It's got a stock rebuilt 350 with an aluminum edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb, and a rebuilt 700R4. It comes with a new set of hedman headers and a bunch of aluminized pipe that I will have installed..

I haven't even seen it yet to be honest, but I'm getting a REALLY good deal on it, so even if the body is rough (can you still get replacement panels anywhere?) I'm not too worried about it.

Things I plan on doing the first few days- New tires, alignment, have exhaust finished (I have no garage or I'd do it...)...and drive the heck out of it!

I've always loved trucks but never owned one. I've always really liked Chevy products (had a 51 Chevy Deluxe, 49 Chevy styleline, a 65 Corvair...) so it should be fun.

I plan on using it as a daily driver. :-D

Ryan

I tried to make this post earlier but my net was being slow...

It's funny how I get into things. I already have a to-do list, and an LMC truck catalog on the way and I don't even own the truck yet.

To-do List 31-10.50-15 Destination LE's
possible re-gasketing of the valve covers/oil pan/axles
Probably a smaller carb (I plan to drive it every day...I don't NEED 300 HP...)
possible re-body depending on rust (he says it's pretty rusted in some areas)
Have hedman headers and exhaust installed with a quiet muffler... I like having a good note out the back but I can't stand loud-a$$ trucks.

I have the OK from my wife to buy it...haha...so that's always good. if nothing else, she has a new Pontiac G6 so...we'll be okay.

Ry
