nice work on the nozzles & plumbing. what else are you doing to ensure this engine doesn't turn into a giant grenade?

well I work for Nitrous Outlet so lots of tuning with the legendary Nitro Dave lol. The block is stock, stock crank has been balanced and cryo treated. Eagle H-beam rods and SRP forged pistons. Will also have all the safety goodies and a dedicated fuel system is going to be next. Prob get a progressive controller if traction is an issue. Everyone says put an LS1 in it but i think this will be interesting. Not looking for any records, just havin some fun. Thought you guys would like it. Any thoughts, suggestions or pics of your favorite installs welcome. And if anyone has any nitrous questions feel free to ask.

probably the smartest move right there. and it'll be interesting to see how well it'll hold up (lord knows i can kill a stock one simply by lookin' @ it! hahahahaha!!)

so how big of a shot are you gonna spray?

well i havent talked to SRP about the pistons but my boss recommends no more than 200hp, but my engine builder said they will take more than that. I will probably tune up to 200hp and run that for a while. They are forged but not coated or anything specifically for nitrous. I got them in trade for some work and they are brand new. came out of an LT1 that was built and driven on a trailer. Delivered to our shop and torn back down to find the seller of the LT1 car was a total liar. So I ended up with these pistons. Dont buy a car sight unseen off ebay lol. (wasnt me by the way)

Update:
I ended up getting a set of Vortec heads from a friend and they are in the hands of Lloyd Elliott being ported currently.
I hear good things about the Vortecs so I interested to see how they do.
Then they need to be drilled for the 12 bolt CPI intake.
I have an extra CPI lower that im gonna cut everything out of except the flanges to line up the ports before I drill the bolt holes.
If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated.
