3 in body lift?
#11
How much does it cost to have a body lift put on? does it affect any of the stock features negatively (does it wear out the steering shaft by reangling it?)? Can you still fit a 31 x 10.50 on with a 2 inch body lift?

Here is a link to my body lift install. I did a bunch of stuff at the time and some of it is in there as well.
Body lifts are easy, a bit intimidating at first, but easy. I used a 3" S10 pick up body lift on a S10-Blazer.
3"
Um, call performance accessories.
GM did not change the body after '95. Just because the web-site doesn't list it, doesnt mean they dont sell it. Actually GM didn't change the frame specs since the first S10-Blazer rolled of the line, except for the ZR2 package.
Also try TrailMaster.
If you must use a pick up body lift, no sweat. The pick up has more mount points. The Blazer needs 10 body mount blocks, which are wider then the bed mounts blocks. However if you take 2 of the bed mount blocks and use them under the front clip you will be fine. A quick trip to the hardware stor for new grade 8 botls, washers, lock washers, and nuts will finish the parts needed.
Since your dealing with a '95 and newer truck, you wont need to worry about welding on a 3" extension the tranny shift linkage. "95 and new the linkage is a cable.
Be carefull witht eh gas tank filler tube. I hear the fullsize guys have a tube within the tube and unknowingly some will cut both tubes, thus requireing another trip for a new filler hose. Since mine was kind of custom, I used a piece of exhaust pipe to extend my gas tank hose. 2" in diameter, and ran a ground wire to it.

the bumper brackets are different i belive. i talked to the guy from 4wheel parts warehouse at the 4x4 jambo, the only ones made to bolt on with any mods is a 2 inch for 98 plus.
the only things i needed to do for mine was the shifter hit the console(5speed) and my trailer hitch needed "trimming" to fit around the new bumper brackets.

Good day all!
Regarding Lifts,I am thinking of raising mine since that I have 30" tires.I'm a bit intimated tough.Do I need to replaced only the 4 or 3 body Mounts on each side and thats it?
Do I need shackals also ?
Any more modifications needed
I have the big 2"GM blazer shop manual and it says that I have 4 mounts on each side.I can only find 3...cannot seem to locate the 4th one on the tail(they mean the shackal maybe?!?)
I own a 95 S-10 blazer 4dr.
Have a nice day,
Martin

There should be 10 body mounts on a S10-blazer. Keep looking!!!!!
Two under the radiator,
two under the front passengers feet,
two under the rear passengers feet,
two over the rear axle, and
two under the tailgate.
5x2=10. Keep Looking!!!!
3" lift, yea there are going to be some modifications.
gas tank filler neck,
fan shroud,
steering linkage,
pre '95 tranny shift linkage, '95 and later is a cable tranny linkage and it may need to be moved,
watch teh ground wire under the battery,
watch the tranny cooler lines,
front axle disconnect vacuum will need to be moved.
ther might be some other stuf, the instructions should cover it, and hte kit should come with al the parts you need.
