AHAHA talk about trimming. Nice job, that thing look freakin beastly. You must have rubbing when you articulate.

dougg01 05-06-2010 08:37 AM

That is a motivated blazer owner....

Joemakerman 05-06-2010 08:47 AM

Haha I like it man. That's a beautiful truck you got there overall. Any other plans for it though?

834x4s10on35's 05-06-2010 05:39 PM

yes it rubs but very little i am doing a sas on it i have a set of dana 60's for the front and rear a 205 transfer case 700r4 and a marine smallblock chev (350) but i am waiting for my rearend to break before i put it in but hey the factory lsd in the front and the lincoln locked rear works great for now i have ground clearance like a mofo and it ist as top heavy as most blazers caus the fact that it has no lift.

Joemakerman 05-06-2010 09:36 PM

Not to be mean or nothing, just letting you know; please use more punctuation and capitalization and all that crazy stuff you learn in English class. Makes it tons easier to read for us all. I know personally I can read posts like you've typed just now perfectly fine, but other people have some problems with understanding it.

Benedict1337 05-22-2010 11:52 AM

looks good. lol a lot more trimming than I had to do...

834x4s10on35's 05-22-2010 07:09 PM

hell i had to with those 35's

ImScrewed92 05-23-2010 12:00 AM

I know you warned me but... :icon_cry:

Nice, all I can say. Not many peolpe have the testicular fortitude to do that much "trimming". Ok hacking cause that's a wee bit more than a trim, heh. Still loving that black/green two tone. It just looks like a bulldog, just short, mean and bow legged. LOL!

Those shots at the beach are awesome. Now that I'm gettin my gears I'll have to get up Hawks nest state park and around the New River Gorge bridge and snap some scenic pics like those. Now that I won't be pedal to the floor in 2nd gear going 10mph trying to get up the mountains out that way.

Benedict1337 05-23-2010 12:10 AM

any problems with rust yet?

834x4s10on35's 05-23-2010 03:55 AM

nope i made shure i washed it b4 i left

Benedict1337 05-23-2010 03:17 PM

thats good... it looks like your rear fenders could cut a chunk out of your rear tires

IrishChris 05-28-2010 12:24 PM

834x4s10on35's 06-01-2010 01:11 PM

One of my friends has a S10 blazer sitting on 33s With the 5"TM lift and a 3" PA body lift.. When he turns the wheel his tires rub against the body mounts by the doors just a little though, I was wondering how you got away with 35s on your truck? Don't your tires hit the body mounts big time?? Did you eliminate the body mount or something?? lol

ImScrewed92 06-05-2010 01:29 AM

I'd think you'd almost have to rub the firewall before you'd hit a body mount... But I could be wrong. How far does his wheel/tire stick out past the fender? Most people rub in three places;
The frame, the sway bar, and the back outer edge of the front fender.
Never heard of rubbing a body mount, but I never rule anything out.

BTW hows that bracket that was in the way of your front diff coming out working for ya?

tony991 06-05-2010 08:50 AM

He has a 4.5" backspace rims.. But he also has 13.5" wide tires... So when he takes a sharp corner and hits a bump it hits the body mount.. I was just wondering about those 35s lol

I'm gonna cut it out today, then take it down to a local auto machine shop and have the front ring and pinion gears swapped. I can't have them both done at the same time cause i don't have enough jack stands lol

X2 . . .really I only ever barely hit my frame when im really cranking the tires in turns RARE!!

tony991 06-05-2010 01:18 PM

Idk.. i saw the marks from his tires on the body mounts.. I'm thinking of either putting 33s or 35s thats why i'm wondering..

ImScrewed92 06-05-2010 09:11 PM

You could always go with a narrow tire. Like a 33x10.50. The slimmer tire would be lighter and maybe not hurt MPG and power as much, and also wouldn't rub as bad. Plus they could be mounted on factory wheels instead of needing 8 or 10 inch wide wheels for the 12.50 width.

Plus a slimmer tire is better in the mud. Why do you think mud runners run the tall narrow tractor tires? Probley would do better on slick asphalt also.
