i really have no clue if there is places near new london, but theres a state forrest in new hartford off of rt 202, and also there is the portland fair grounds in portland CT witch is near middle town altho i cant tell you where it is because ive never been there, there use to be a nice place in berlin ct but the cops are on quads now and will bust you
