So your front axle did not engage, but the transfer case was able to engage in both HI & LO? If that is the case, it could be any one of the following:

ACTUATOR start with that there known to go bad on the s blazers it did it to me so i bought an aftermarket posi-lok system which is cable engaged not vaccum, you can then take your vaccum acuator off and bypass it with the posi-lok worth everybit of 170 dollars in my opinion

Sorry for piggybacking on this thread, but I'm also having similar problems and I was looking for some help.
My '93 S10 Blazer 4x4 is wrecked. I replaced the vacuum actuator because it was ripped, but that didn't fix it. I just replaced my electronic 4x4 switch, and that didn't fix it. I know I still have power to my switch, but the only time pressing the switch will do anything is when my Blazer is in neutral. The 4HI and the 4LO indicator lights will blink on and off when I press the switch when my Blazer is in neutral, and I hear a clicking noise from what seems to be the right side of my Blazer, but that's it. The blinking lights on the switch turn off soon after and nothing else happens, no 4x4 at all. When I'm in any other gear pressing the switch does absolutely nothing. Any ideas? 4x4 is a little beyond my mechanical abilities so I'm looking for any and all help I can get. I'm just tired of Canadian winters with no 4x4 haha. Thanks |
i got the same problem with my 92 blazer tahoe. it will light up but it wont engage. y?????? thx
