anyone ever used one of these out on the trails? i used to use dads alot when we did the work on the farm but i was just wonderin if people that dont have winches take one with them?

Yep. It's a poor man's winch. I helped my buddy unstick himself in his 1st gen blazer with one when he dug frame into a mud pit.

I used one and had no luck two guys reefin on it and it was kinda scary so we quit wouldnt move the truck a inch depends how stuck you are i guess

They work great, so long as they're in good shape...

They rust easy. lol

Or at least the ones my dad had did... Then again, they're over 20 years old...
