Well if you got a CB you can find out where the logging trucks are and then use a GPS/maps to stay away from them. Definately very fun to run around on logging roads and trails.

nothing like trying to find a whole in the trees when one comes around a corner at about 50 miles an hour...well worth the fun though...I don't know many other places where if you so desire..you never have to touch a speck of pavement and traverse the whole UP

I was wondering about going there...but I didn't know anyone who had been there....does it seem pretty stock friendly? or is it big tires?
Nice pictures, I have been to the mounds once in my jeep. It is stock friendly as long as you stay away from the mud holes, almost all of them are super deep. Plan on a lot of scratches because a lot of the trails are pretty tight. There are some steep hills that are fun but not very challenging. My impressionof the terrian wasit was either stock 2wd or you better have 50" tractor tires for the holes. I burried my jeep to thefront bumperin mud, and the mud is like concrete when it dries. It also stained my paint, I had to polish out the whole jeep after the trip.

IIRC you're from west MI? I'm in GR!Any good places to wheel in West MI?

Got 235 BFG ATs now, but when I'm due for tires next year I want to know if it's worth it to get 31's and a body lift. If there's lots of fun to be had locally, I want to go!

WARNING LAME STORY....I just bought my blazer a few months ago and used the 4wd for the first time last nite (first time driving using 4wd ever). I wanted to test is before it's winter and I find out it doesn't work and I'm under it in the snow fixing it. Went to a Meijer construction site and found some soft recently graded fill dirt. Stomped it in 2wd and spun and dug. Hit the 4wd, stomped itand the truck spun all four, jumped up and out! MAN THAT WAS FUN!!! Now I see what all the fuss is about!
