Gettin' a little muddy

Out with the local Jeep club...

rexmburns 03-14-2013 02:19 PM

You appear to have impressed all of the jeep folks lol!! I'm guessing a few of them had issues getting thru that spot?? Nice driving for sure!

Twip 03-14-2013 03:08 PM

what the HECK!??!?! locker in the front? i thought that the passenger side tire was the drive tire.... do tell your secrets Diaita! or is it just because you changed out the axles?

rexazz2 03-14-2013 03:21 PM

that looks like some really sticky mud , is it clay ?
sounds like they didnt expect you to make it

Diaita 03-14-2013 04:09 PM

The jeep guys were struggling a bit. I brought the Blazer because it isn't nearly as capable as the jeep, but it turned out to be a better choice for the trails we were on anyway. No secret...the solid axles seem to keep the tires on the ground better than the IFS. Oh, and lockers. ;)

Nice video! Thanks for sharing, and post more! I have to live vicariously through you guys right now. Working too much to go have fun anywhere.:icon_shrug:

Nice pictures. Looks like a lot of fun. I wish Alberta was that green right now. We just got another foot and a half of snow, and it's still coming down.

By the end of the day most were in t-shirts.

Just watched the video... made it look easy! I love the commentary too lol.

I cant wait to get out there and see how much confusion my pile causes on the trails. Ive already had plenty of funny/confused conversations at gas stations and around town when people see the solid axle.

Nice stuff bud. I want a locker now in the rear, will stick with IFS for now

Diaita 04-22-2013 11:12 AM

I ran the IFS for years, and had few complaints, it worked well.

nice vid. i did notice a Ford P/U and a Samari in the buch, so how many jeeps had to get pulled ? and did they perform ok

slcblazer 04-27-2013 04:03 PM

very nice, like the lone blazer amongst the many jeeps holding its own haha

okiedoak20 04-27-2013 04:29 PM

it is neat to see when people are looking at the blazers like they cant do anything.. and we have to prove our capabilities to "earn" the respect of other 4 wheelers out there, then they are like in shock or somthing when we are able to keep up and in some cases out perform others

Thats the beauty of the s blazer. They are like off road sleepers.

There were Toyota pickups, an FJ cruiser, an FJ40, a couple full-size trucks. A YJ was all I saw stuck.

Benedict1337 05-01-2013 12:22 PM

lol toyota's outperform jeeps anyday :icon_wink:. Someday I'd like to drop a fj 80 axle under my 4runner

that sucks!! it looks like you are doing a power wheelie up that hill. lol. pictures of the carnage?? hopefully you can pick one up at the PNP tomorrow.

Diaita 02-09-2014 01:44 AM

It was low range, full throttle there. I drove out in front wheel drive with a little help. Had it fixed a couple hours later in the auto parts store parking lot so I could drive the 60 miles home. I think someone took pics, I'll post them when I get them.

El_Beautor 02-10-2014 10:36 AM

Love the pic Diaita, and I'm glad you made it home ok.
