I would look into a poertrax lock-rite or no-slip locker. I have a lock-rite and love it. The no-slip just has better road manners. But SUPER easy to install. Only tools needed were a socket set, pliers and a screwdriver. Took me 2 hrs from the grage door closing to me driving out.
the a/t's do alright in the mudd. the m/t's are significantly better. I tested them by trying to pull a truck out the the woods. those tires really grip the ground when they start digging

I want to get the mud tires but my brother had 285/75/16 Michey Thompsons on his 94 Suburban and they destroyed his brakes and started to mess up the tranny. Each time he would hit the brakes you could feel the tires the spacing between each **** and it would shimmy throughout the brakes badly and wear out everything extremely fast. I do most street driveing and at least once a week go out on the beach, i dont do any crazy offroading anymore unless i get a beater truck, But just wondering how the tires affect your truck

lol they actually ride nicer than the a/t's probably because mine were wearing unevenly I needed an allignmnet really bad... they are a little loud when the windows are down. my friend described it as "riding in a space ship" haha

Yeah i bet, I love loud tires, My friend had Iroks once who did some pretty insane mudding to the point it was soupy and mucky and they were so loud!!!. I also saw a guy with a Suburban with a 454 and 44" Boggers on the beach near me and he says it just his beach truck and even half bald driveng from the beach to his house over the years they are the most aggressive loud tires , the tires alone are headache inducing he says lmfao let alone the straight pipes lol. Heres a pic

my blazer was obnociously loud for a while but when its your dd it gets annoying... luckily when my windows are up and the radio playing I can't hear my tires. My blazer is actually pretty nice to ride in lol. I'd like to have a beater k5 thats really loud and big just to mess around in

they look real nice, looks like fun, did you have to trim your fenders to fit those?
