damn man, congrats. i would say make sure you air down your tires. make sure you have a huge flag, they will make you no matter what.
wash her before and after very carefully, sand can get in places you dont want it to.
turning fast is always a no no, you will flip like a bit.

check all your bolts on the suspension because it will be taking a beating jumping etc...

hope i helped a little.

yea, thanks man, cant wait for the summer to begin. we ran her once when we had about 4 inches of snow and she ran good. 2wd and we got her to 45 in an open field before the locker kicked in. were working on 4wd and getting the floor redone but its gonna be worth it. its gonna be my first big trip. some guys from where i work go up there. sounds like you have sand in the truck forever and you're always replacing u-joints, no one said playing was cheap and free. but its gonna be a blast

Silver lake is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend it. One thing though- you really don't want anything but all terrain or offroad tires. No mud tires. Air them down ALOT. You want to float on the sand- not dig into it. Leave the paddle tires for the dune buggies.

That being said- I can't wait until summer! I just got a '94 jimmy, so I gotta do some work before I feel comfortable doing anything nasty with it.

I went to silver lake a while back, got to drive dune buggies and a 1/3 scale monster truck. darned thing was sweet! had a 4 cyllinder focus engine, and a 2 speed auto. Just crawled along and climbed anything in it's path.

Oh, and be careful of the really big dune. I forget what they call it- test hill or something. My buddy flipped one of the dune buggies going to fast over the peak.

If you live in the Kalamazoo area, try the Allegan State Game area. Also, if you want a little drive, Gennese County has the Mounds Rec area.
Here are some links

All the maps and info you need are right there. Not that exceptionally hard to find.

Wow! Where'd you come from? Not seen you around for a while. How've you been?

Last, if I remember, you had just got married! Maybe I've just missed a lot of your posts! LOL

Good to see you're still Blazin!
