Wow great pictures! What a lot of snow and mud – wish to do it this way but we have only one week of rain here…
So here come some pictures of my Blazer with everything else than mud and snow for you:

Our first off road trip (test drive) from Dubai to the East coast of the UAE. Here in the mountains

and arriving the Indian Ocean beach.

Next safari into the so called “wood” (what a joke but they mean it really serious ). Found an old desert fort

and some wildlife...But in the end I decided not to change because of the missing A/C and some other comfort aspects...

Found a small oasis later.

Next safari into the desert. My blazer and my wife

and our little son very upholstered of course. - Yes, we make safaris with him.
It's the only way to bring him into the nature and fresh air here.

We found some new friends in the evening by just following an off road tourist trek. Their drivers have a great hospitality and invited us for dinner and a belly dance show and we smoked a shisha together in their camp.

Next safari through a wadi (dry river bed – very dangerous when its raining - then we have too much of mud here )

Trying a stony path

with a dead end (but nice to watch - see the so called "natural pools" on the floor)

and a little bit water formed stone.

Following the main wadi we came up onto a path into the mountains

and reached the top of the mountains

making a family picnic on a high mountain plateau.

Next safari into a great and deep wadi

brings us to the highest point of the UAE (Jebel Ybir/~1500m) in the late evening. Dark but anyway - a great view.

Next safari in the desert

where we found the "camel rock" and made a short break in the shadow.

It was hard to leave the big sinkhole around the rock because the sand was very loose this day: 48°C in the shadow and my engine coolant at 118°C. I tried twice to get out and my wife and our friend had to go by foot to reduce the weight of the Blazer...

So that was all for the moment. Join us, when you make next holidays in Dubai.

Sincerely - Hirni

I'd love a bumper like that too, but they're impossible to find lol....and those that are out there won't come cheap either.
