Sand
My family is planning on going up north memorial day weekend to Silver Lake. Silver Lake is known around Michigan for the sand dunes that it has 450 acres of sate owned dunes you can drive/ride. So to get to my point i was wondering if my stock blazer would be any good in the sand, if its not looking to good i think I'll just stick with the dirt bike and quads. Do you guys think I'll have a chance without getting stuck in the sand without having somebody pull my out every 5 mins? Oh and btw my blazer if stock.

It is really going to have alot to do with how powdery and soft the sand is. I drive on the beach all the time and I do just fine.

your stock blazer should do just fine....what kind of tires do you have on it? all terrains are better than muds...and you need to air down the tires...and as long as you have a tow strap...and a good place to hook it....you are sure to have some one get ya out! It's a really super busy place though...make sure you read the rules and regulations..you have to wait in line to get a pass..have to have a 10 foot? or 8 foot flag above your vehicle.....hope this helps!
oh and your orv sticker....of course if you are training in mivhigan..you must always have your orv sticker! lol it's a huge 12 dollars I think

I know it gets really busy there! I've been going there since I was a little kid with my family. I've always rode quads and dirt bikes, this my first year with my blazer and I've never seen a stock blazer there. I have seen this one bas *** blazer that was lifted 2 feet and oh man! If I seen it again I will deff take some pics. The ORV stickers do cost a ton of money! Lol. I've got my tow strap from the winter when I was pulling out cars from ditches. For ties I have a pair of coopers and a pair of goodyears...yea I know, my tires got slashed by some kid. I plan on changing the goodyears to coopers.
