Snatch Strap or Kinetic Rope??
Camping season is approaching and I think its time to retire some older equipment. I've always used snatch straps. But as I'm research I'm finding that more people are leaning toward kinetic ropes for their 30% stretch rates. Has anyone used one? They seem to be cheaper per foot and have higher weight ratings. Is there a catch?
Here are the ropes I'm looking at right now: CLICK ME Also, what breaking strength should I be looking at? I'm thinking to recover my Blazer from mud shouldn't take more than 27k lbs at the very most. Input? |
I've never used the ropes but as far as strength I use 20,000 to 30,000 lbs and haven't had any problems. I wouldn't go lower and anything higher would be overkill, IMHO.
