Snowball...scratch that MUDball Rally 2006
Well, my girlfriend and I went in our first Rally this weekend. It was her first time offroad driving and my first time navigating (we're always passengers).
We ended up placing 3rd. We're pretty proud of ourselves for that one. We think we should have won muddiest truck as well, but her friend Eric won in his Jeep. I think he won over us because he left his back windows out and so also had mud inside the Jeep.
Anyway, it was a blast. It was sort of like a Poker Run/scavenger hunt Rally. We had to answer trivia and play games at the checkpoints for bonus points. We almost kissed a few trees when we got pulled into a few pretty deep ruts, but we made 'er out without a scratch. I'll post pics when they get downloaded....probably tonight.
We were going to take my truck in as well, since it was supposed to be a stock-friendly rally, but I am sort of glad I didn't...I think I would have had to be winched out of a few spots.
