I have seen what you are talking about, When I went wheeling with this guy

I was riding In his truck and after we went up a big hill a big puff of smoke came out his vents. We stopped and checked everything out but nothing was wrong and we went on with our day.

Did it just stop after a while? Cause i checked everything too, nothing looked broken its not making any noises other than my busted cv axle and it really doesnt smell anything. Maybe a hint of coolant but i drove a good distance and my tempurature is normal and theres still coolant in there im kinda stumped

Ya I actualy noticed it and he stopped and shut the truck off, We looked around for any fire or melted plastic or somthing. But we never found anything. And from the time I noticed it, to the time it stopped was like 5 to 10 sec. But when you have smoke blowing out your vents it seems much longer than 10 seconds.

Mine does this too. Pretty sure its the heater core. Only under hard acceleration though. Was gonna change it myself but a local mechanic quoted me $280 to do the job lol. I know tearing the dash out is a huge pain, after hearing the price I said "jobs yours bud, when do you want it"

I think a simple air jack or hilift would`ve brought you out of this. But a winch is nice too, but not the only thing to have...

I do have a highlift jack And that kind of helped but the main problem was it just kept sinking. I put a rock under it and it sank some put another rock on top of that rock and it sank some more. I jave a 54'' jack it was about half way burried in the mud. But thats hoe i was able to change my tire.
