Mine's mostly stock with 4.11's instead of the stock 3.73's, stock size tires (Hankook DynaPro AT/M's-- I recommend the hell out of those tires, $200/pr for LT235/75R15s), and a 3" body lift. I get where I wanna go.

im deffinatly gunna make some sliders, 2" welded steel. think if i weld em straight to the frame in 3 spots (3 bars to the frame) they should be strong enough?

Brace'em up to the frame though, like a triangular reinforcement where they meet the frame. What's the point of a rock slider if it bends and does the damage you're trying to prevent.

so you think having a triangular brace that is only 4" high is no better than having NO braces at all?

seems to me, you need to rethink that thought.

there would only be a 2" gap between the braces? yea it would help but i dont think it would help that much. if someone were to make just 3 or 4 mounting points out of 2" steel with like a 6"x6" plate on the end to weld to the frame (or bolt)it should be strong enough to take a beating you would think

If you dont make gussets for them and set the whole weight of the truck on them they will be flimsy. Mine are built like a brick **** house , Ive high centered the truck on both of them with no issues.

There is a big discussion on a local off road forum here about those. brace the **** out of them! Coming down hard on a rock can move a lot of metal before it stops.
