Darn those pesky hitches! I hope you got it down before that huge Schneider truck got to you!

 

I've had the same problem with my hitch dragging like that as well.

I heard the hitch grind and just cringed. Not worried about the hitch, the rut I left was a nice signature to the event. LOL


Not sure about the trucker. He was flying through the lot as I was starting back down. Probably thought I was nut for sure.

 

Remove the hitch, and the hitch receiver and you would still drag the bumper on that much incline with a stock Blazer. Either way, even if you would of made it up, you would of sunk in and high centered. Seen it before, done it before. Back when I used to drive a recovery tow truck I used to see this a lot. The best was one night at a new housing development. They hire a security guard to keep out thieves and such. Well this guard had a 4x4 chevy pickup, totally stock. He did just what you did for fun and ended up on top with all the wheels spinning. I got to winch him off the pile for a small fee.

Sam, i still can't figure out why you stopped 'cause your tounge (the hitch is the part on the truck guys) was diggin' in a little.

and this is why i take a running shot @ things in reverse. well that, and i don't need to finish off what the original owner did to the front bumper.

 

It looks like your import bumper also doubles as a plow there old skool. lol
