1983 K5 Blazer
Picked this K5 up last week. 1983 with 9300 original miles. Everything original from dealer and it all works. Even the white wall tires are original and in incredible shape, still rides nice. I am new to this vehicle and wondering if I should keep it original or make some changes? Bigger tires, etc. Any ideas?

pretty nice shape. those old tires would worry me if they were original. i used to use a k5 blazer spare for my offroad truck as one of the rollers, i came out one day to found it randomly exploded.
you can always put a lift and bigger tires on it. if you dont like it you can always put it back to stock.

Yup ditch those tires before driving it any more!! Tires are much like condoms and have a shelf life and the rubber will deteriorate and become very weak and prone to blowing apart. Generally old tires won't go flat slowly they just blow apart in a rather violent manner usually causing other body damage even if you manage to keep it on the road. Ask yourself would you trust a condom from 1983???
