2001 2 door blazer backseat

somethign is probllay jamed below it, i would crawl in the backseat and look under the seat to see if you can see anything, if not then i would pull up on th ehandle while i have someone push the seat down.

seat still wont go down
there is nothing jammed under the seat
the seat wont move at all
the wire isn't broke but the release lever isn't working
does anyone know if there is any other way to get the seat to go down?
