Default 2004 grill trim removal

I couldn't find any information in searching for my specific year... how do you remove the chrome grill section that has the bowtie in it? I started to pry around and I was a little nervous about breaking/cracking it.

just yank the WHOLE grill out. it's on clips so it will pop a little. work from the center to one side, then the other. detach your marker lights before trying to walk off....
once it's off you are free to paint away to your heart's content.

Pop the grill off like ABN31B said. On the back of the grill shell are 6 nuts. You'll probably need a 10mm deep well socket and possibly an extension to get to the two middle ones.

Later, Doug

Be careful with those nuts though. The're just cheap plastic and break really easy if I remember correctly.
