lol...I got mine primered and painted. The rears - the part that goes over/on the wheel wells aren't going to be that bad...I'm going to use nutserts/rivnuts to mount them. The part that goes on the rear doors I haven't figured out/decided how i'm going to mount them. The front left one wont be to bad but the right one isn't shaped the same as far as the separation between the top and bottom (think of a "V" on its side) and its gonna take quite a bit of pressure to make it spread open. So I'm a bit concerned about it cracking or breaking when I fasten it. Definately more than a one man job for that one. Knock on wood; Hopefully get em done this weekend. I was excited when I ordered these; and then when they arrived and I got a chance to look em over and realized that it was gonna be a bitch to install I lost that excitement. But the only other alternative is more than twice the price of these.

Wow, I just placed an order for bushwhacker fenders flares. I was kind of excited about these but the reviews so far are kind of disappointing.

Have you thought about using 3M acrylic double sided tape? They are meant for fender/body extensions and should be able to hold the flares in place.

You could also use a permanent 3M VHB tape which is stronger than using rivets. They is permanent. You will never be able to get it off.

This could be a different solution so you guys don't have to drill and have rust form in the future.

Curious...how much were the Bushwacker flares? Is yours a 4 door? I have some of the 3M tape and I have considered using it; I wasnt aware of the VHB tape...I'll have to check into that one. Thnx for that info.

I have a 2DR Blazer. The flares are around 650 CDN. Pricey.

You can't just use any 3M tape. Different types of adhesives bond differently with materials and handle climate differently. Try looking for 3M acrylic plus. VHB will permanently bond it. Which IMO is scarey. I hate not being able to remove it without destroying the flares.

The problem with the Jungle Flare product is that there is nowhere on back of the flares to attach the double sided tape to. Look again at the pictures I posted earlier. It would be just as easy to use some gorilla tape to tape the back of them onto the vehicle. One of these days I will revisit the project - maybe

What about the bottom of the flare? Does that not make contact with the bottom of the fender? Like where your drill to screw/rivet it in place?

Has anyone got around to doing an install on these yet? I've gotten to the point where I am debating on doing a zr2 conversion to 4 door. I've read a couple of convos on here showing how to do them... Just can't decide if I want to put the blood and sweat into it... I do enough for the blazer so if I can buy it the way I want I might go that way...
