Default 87 S10 Blazer body mounting repair.

While in the process of taking the engine out I thought that it would be a whole lot easer to just go ahead and take the body completley off.
I oiled everything I could get to up a couple of days before starting the operation. Well, during that process I had the two mounts that are near the front wheel well "spin" in place in what I later discovered was the results of the attachment points have been mostly rusted away from the rest of the body and just comming out with the bolt.
In addition to that, the holes in the frame (ALL of them) have rusted to the point that they are both really thin around the edges and maybe bigger than they should be.
I can see making a "plate" to weld on top of them to get the hole size back for the frame but the problem is the body.
All that is left is a rusted out hole where the attaching point was which is below the interior floorboard. Think of two pie pans, one upside down on the other, with the "nut" welded to the bottom one.
Sandwich "buns" of 1/4" plate with the body as the "meat"?
Any thoughts?

Roger
