You are correct. Your only option is finding a good donor from a bone yard and cutting off what you need or attempting to make your own patch with an English wheel. Depending on where the rust is located, you may be able to pull repair pieces off of a pickup or suburban as long as they are square body cabs.

How big are the pieces you need? I have a rust-free '88 that I'm getting ready to junk.

I have to have SOMETHING I can ship to you, lol.

the rust holes are located on both sides of the roof at the top behind the door towards the topper and reaching the factory seam of the small body panel coming up from the quarter
im trying to get a pic so you can see the size, the holes are not in the door jam area just on the flat curved part of the roof.

Let me know. If the pieces are small enough to fit in a flat rate box and I can cut them out easily enough, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Just the outer skin? Does the rust go down to where the bolt holes are?
